[edit] 2012 Auckland Open
There was another small field this year, possibly because of the recent tournament in Wellington. Also Kevin Lui, champion for the last several years, was in Australia with his parents. However we had two fresh faces, Laris Du and Robyn Lu as well as a good selection of regulars.
Laris and Robyn proved too strong for the rest of us, Laris comfortably winning all his games and Robyn only losing to Laris. The minor places were shared between Zhou Juhua and Colin Grierson (My best result in years :-)
